Bowel Kare is a formulation created by selecting four herbs that Ayurveda offers to aid and assist regular bowel functions.

What are the ingredients used in Age Ayurveda Bowel Kare ?

Bilwa (Aegle marmelos):

According to scriptures the bel tree is a gift from Ma Parvati and hence loved by Lord Shiva. The trifoliate shape of the leaves which are always in three’s represent the three gunas of the body composition Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Ayurveda recognises medicinal properties of bel leaf, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal

The presence of tannin helps in curing diseases like diarrhea and cholera. The dried powder is used to treat chronic diarrhea. The extract can effectively treat hemorrhoids and vitiligo. The extract of bael leaf can be used to control the cholesterol level in blood which makes the bael leaves highly therapeutic too.

Chandrasoor (Lepidium sativum):

Chandrashoor  ( Lepidium sativum ) In Ayurveda, this plant is known to possess several medicinal properties such as anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It provides relief in piles and asthma. It is also used in urinary tract infections. Chandrashoor (Lepidium sativum) is a very effective herb of Ayurveda that belongs to the mustard family. Seed and leaves are used to many formulations in Ayurveda. This herb is useful in the balance of Vata and Kapha dosha. This herb contains various important amino acids and flavonoids. The seed of this herb is the richest source of dietary fiber and it is very effective in peristalsis movement, diarrhea, dysentery, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic. It is used as an appetizer and stimulant for digestive system. It is also beneficial for male and female reproductive system. 

Amla (Emblica officinalis):

Amla is high in fiber and improves body metabolism by increasing the “Agni” digestive fire, this helps in regularizing bowel movement which aids and assists digestion making way for more nutrients to be absorbed by the body. It reduces constipation and stimulates the secretion of gastric juices. This makes it effective in acidity. The mild laxative effect of Amla helps in expulsion of stool from the GI tract.

Isabgol (Psyllium husk):

Isabgol has a mechanical action on the body, Its high fiber content actually has a broom-like cleaning effect in the intestine. It clears the GI tract of all infections and fats. Its properties of swelling within the gut also create a slow movement inside the canal providing the other three herbs to piggyback and have a longer period for absorption and action.
